Our Services

Business Services

Our attorneys bring practical and effective business experience to their law practice, serving owners of small to medium-sized businesses (businesses with fewer than 500 employees) as well as substantial net worth individuals.  We counsel businesses in:

  • Formation and governance of corporations, limited liability companies, business trusts and partnerships, including general partnerships, limited partnerships and registered limited liability partnerships
  • Business operations
  • Business contracts
  • Sales and acquisitions
  • Business litigation
  • Commercial real estate transactions and property-related services
  • Negotiating commercial and employment contracts
  • Business succession planning
  • Financing agreement with banks
  • Tax advice and planning
  • Licensing actions before state regulatory agencies

Because of their wide range of business law experience, our attorneys are often employed as de facto general counsel for companies that do not have their own in-house legal counsel.  In this position, they provide legal advice and services on a per project basis both for the small and medium sized businesses in all aspects of their operations as well as for the business owners on an individual basis.

For family-owned business, we also offer assistance with business-succession planning, which includes estate planning for the business owner.

Individual Services

Estate Planning and Administration

Preserving family assets, planning for the needs of loved ones and reducing or eliminating federal estate and Pennsylvania inheritance taxes (also known as "death taxes") are key themes of the estate planning services our firm provides to families and individuals.

Estate planning is significantly more involved than merely writing or revising a will.  A complex estate may include businesses and assets, real estate, insurance policies, retirement plans such as 401(k) plans, pending inheritances, children with special needs, and tax planning issues.  Our attorneys are capable of helping families whose estates are either simple or complex.

Planning for incapacity is a key part of getting older.  We help clients prepare for old age and illness through such legal documents as powers of attorney and living wills (also known as health care directives), which help to ensure the person's wishes are respected in the unfortunate event they become unable to manage their own finances or health care.  We can also assist families in guardianship proceedings.

We also assist executors of wills and estate administrators in the legal process of locating all of a decedent's assets, paying creditors and administration expenses, and properly distributing the residuary of the estate to beneficiaries and heirs.

Real Estate
We can assist you in buying, selling and refinancing commercial and residential property in both Pennsylvania and Delaware.  In any real estate transaction, regardless of whether you are the buyer or the seller, you should consult an experienced attorney to promote your best interests and the security of your transaction.

Civil Litigation
If you have a dispute involving a contract, money, an inheritance or real estate, we can advocate on your behalf for a just and efficient resolution of your civil matter in court.
